Kim Hayes, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Kim relocated to Idaho with her family in 2000 from the East Coast. She and her husband raised their two daughters in Blaine County, who are now grown and residing in Boise with their own families. Since 2013, Kim has been dedicated to the field of mental health, transitioning from a career as a Human Resources Leader to a licensed therapist. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University in 2015. During her training, she completed three full semesters focused on trauma, gaining a comprehensive understanding of its impact on the brain. Additionally, Kim became a certified Level 1 practitioner in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a well-established and evidence-based psychotherapy technique effective in treating various mental health conditions, specifically trauma.

Kim Hayes brings over a decade of experience as a licensed therapist, offering flexible and compassionate care tailored to each client’s unique needs. With training in trauma-focused interventions and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Kim helps clients safely process painful experiences and move beyond limiting belief systems that may keep them feeling “stuck.”

Her approach is strengths-based, combining acceptance, understanding, and evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote healing, resilience, and peace.

Background & Community Roots
Kim is the sole proprietor and operator of KH Counseling & Health Center, which commenced operations in June 2018. With extensive experience in the field, Kim recognized the critical need for providing substance use disorder treatment through a non-profit organization. Consequently, Kim established the CRC in April 2024. The CRC was founded following years of consultation and collaboration with the Blaine County Drug Court and the Idaho Supreme Court, where Kim observed the vital importance of early intervention and accessible care. Kim’s mission is to support prevention and recovery before lives re derailed, empowering individuals to heal and thrive.
