Suzi Ayers, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Suzi has been a proud resident of the Wood River Valley since 2017. A native of Idaho, she returned to her home state after spending several years in Utah. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Westminster College and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. Suzi is also trained in Psychological First Aid and AEGIS De-escalation and Crisis Intervention.

Suzi brings a diverse range of experience to her practice. She currently works as a mental health and substance abuse counselor at KH Counseling and Carbonate Recovery Center, where she supports individuals on their journey to recovery. Suzi has led various groups with KH Counseling, including a DBT group and Recovery Roadmap. Her professional background also includes several years as an instructor at a wilderness therapy program, where she worked closely with at-risk youth. Additionally, she served as a victim advocate at The Advocates, providing trauma-informed support to survivors of intimate partner violence. Suzi is now level one EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) certified to continue to help those who suffer from trauma.

Suzi’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity for resilience and healing through validation and kindness. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop new insights, and ultimately find a greater sense of peace and fulfillment.
